Next Generation Blood Group Genotyping
Blood group antigen genotyping is a transformative alternative to classical serology and is gaining rapid acceptance in immunohematology laboratories. HemoSelect V3 is a modular assay that targets 40 blood group systems between 3 component panels:
- CORE: 17 blood group systems
- EXPANDED: 21 blood group systems
- PLUS: ABO, platelets, neutrophils, G6PD and HBB
These include all markers commonly used for testing donor DNA samples to identify rare donors. Each component panel (eg CORE) is a single well, two step assay that allows the user to analyze as many as 384 samples in a single run (Illumina MiniSeq System Mid Output Kit).
